My experience of using Google Slides in creating the "Discovering Scuba" presentation was very positive. The tools were easy to locate and use. Having the ability to add YouTube videos was a pleasant surprise. You can resize, arrange and group objects similar to using the tools in PowerPoint. Although, there were only a few fonts to choose from, you could at least alter the size and color of the text. Having the ability to move the thumbnails around was a convenient way to organize the slides. The best part was any updates that are made to the presentation are automatically updated to all the locations in which it’s embedded or linked.
There are several good reasons to choose a slide presentation in the classroom.

• Making the presentation editable to a group is available.
• Downloading the presentation in several formats is possible.
• It’s simple to publish the file to the web to link to or embed the presentation.
• Google Slides is a free application.
• Research tool located under the Tools menu is a quick way to find, cite and organize references.
Using the principles of design when creating a presentation assists the learners to better comprehend the presented materials. The coherence principle’s focus is to keep the presentation simple, uncluttered and to support the main instructional goals. The contiguity principle states to organize and place an object next to the text it refers helps the learner to make connections and experience deeper learning.
