Google has described Google+ (Plus) as a "social layer" that enhances many of its online properties, and that it is not simply a social networking website, but also an authorship tool that associates web-content directly with its owner/author. You post articles and links similar to Facebook but Google+ goes a step further by showing the author and description to your to the link in the post. Also, Google+ gives you more control over who sees your post by placing your contacts into "Circles."
Google+ has many tools available to use that can use in education as well as in business. Two very useful features are the Hangouts that allows video conferencing to anyone in your circle and Google Docs that is an interactive approach to collaborating with colleagues that allows creating and working on the same document.
