There are benefits of using TweetDeck. Organizing my tweets and searching for others to follow was much easier than using just Twitter. I only used Twitter and TweetDeck on my desktop and did not try it using my phone. The most frustrating part of using this application is the 140-character limit. I spent a lot of time trying to edit down my tweet to make it fit. Adding images to the Tweet makes the Tweet interesting and it's nice that the images don't effect your character count. I also spend a huge amount of time getting lost in reading all the tweets attempting to find some interesting people to follow.
I can see using Twitter in the classroom for a few assignments. For example, tracking a hashtag for current events or gathering resources from a professional to write a research paper. I still like the idea of creating a running story or creating a poem where each students adds a line that flows with the one written before. Instructors can also benefit by connecting with peers to exhange ideas and resources.
